Scott Moran is a top-producing real estate agent based in Ellicott City, Maryland, consistently ranked in the top 5% of agents nationwide. Known for his data-driven approach and deep commitment to educating clients, Scott has built a thriving business by helping people make smart, confident decisions at every stage of the real estate journey.
Before launching his real estate career, Scott spent six years as a Mortgage Loan Officer and two years as an Operations Manager with one of the nation’s largest retail chains. That experience sharpened both his financial knowledge and his operational mindset—skills he now brings to every client interaction with clarity and precision.
Scott is a proud graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned a degree in Political Science with minors in English and Philosophy. He also served as a college cheerleader and team captain during his senior year—an experience that taught him leadership, discipline, and the importance of working as a team. Those same qualities continue to define his approach to business and life.
Scott was born in West Virginia and raised primarily in Howard County, Maryland, before graduating high school in Clinton, New Jersey. His passion for real estate was sparked early; growing up, his family frequently renovated the homes they lived in, giving him firsthand experience with home improvement, design, and value creation. Today, Scott is also a real estate investor, owning and managing multiple rental properties across Maryland—giving him a unique perspective on long-term wealth building through homeownership.
But Scott’s most meaningful titles are “Dad” and “Husband.” His daughter, Tenleigh, was born with a congenital heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot. At just six weeks old, she underwent open heart surgery—a life-changing experience that redefined Scott’s perspective on resilience, gratitude, and what truly matters. Today, Tenleigh is a bright, energetic girl who still faces challenges, including epilepsy and occasional seizures. Her strength inspires Scott every day to lead with empathy and to be a steady advocate for the families he works with.
Scott’s wife, Kelly, has been by his side since the day her aunt introduced them—back when Kelly was shoe shopping and Scott was working as an Operations Manager at Kohl’s. What began as a chance encounter turned into a lifelong partnership built on mutual respect, shared ambition, and a deep love for their family. Kelly works for the Department of Defense and brings her own dedication and strength to everything she does.
Guided by the core values of Curiosity, Legacy, and Growth, Scott believes in making complex decisions feel approachable. He empowers his clients with knowledge and approaches every transaction with the care and responsibility of someone helping his own family.
When he’s not working with clients, you’ll likely find Scott spending time with Kelly and Tenleigh—visiting local parks, trying out new recipes at home, or tracking down the best bluegrass show in town. He’s a self-proclaimed undiscovered expert chef, a lover of audiobooks, and someone who makes real estate feel less like a transaction and more like a conversation with a trusted friend.

We are thrilled to announce that Nicole Grafer has officially joined the Moran Residential family!
Nicole grew up in New Jersey and graduated from the University of South Carolina (Go Cocks!) with a bachelor’s degree in Marine Science. While studying the ocean might seem a far cry from real estate, Nicole has always possessed two major passions: the deep blue and house hunting. She credits her mother for sparking that real estate bug. Growing up, her mom was an interior designer for Ethan Allen, meaning HGTV was permanently on the television and weekends were spent dragging Nicole to random open houses to study local architecture and different styles. Nicole’s verdict? She absolutely loved it.
Before stepping into the spotlight as a Realtor, Nicole spent over a decade masterfully working behind the scenes. She prides herself on a powerhouse work ethic that started right after college, when she landed a role at a mortgage company specializing in VA loans. (Bonus: it’s also where she met Scott, and her soon-to-be husband, Chris!) From there, she went on to help build a title company from the ground up, eventually earning the title of Assistant Vice President. That invaluable experience taught her the ins and outs of title work, lending, appraisals, and the exact details needed to keep a deal moving forward seamlessly.
With more than ten years of industry experience, Nicole knows how to keep the entire process organized, calm, and focused—even when things get hectic. At her core, she is a true people person who genuinely cares. She takes immense pride in keeping her clients informed, supported, and completely stress-free from start to finish. It’s that comprehensive background and warm approach that makes both Scott and her clients love working with her.
When she’s off the clock: You can find Nicole curled up with a good book and her cat, trying out a new local restaurant with her fiancé, heading out for a deep-sea fishing adventure, or catching a live music show.
